EXPLANATION.
(To tit Editor of Daily,) Sir,— In your issue of 25th instant, your Tinui correspondent is rather hard in his remarks upon the Hotel accomodation in that place. I, as a friend of Mr Miller, the proprietor, beg to state that it is through no negligence on his part that the hotel is not his landbrd,- not himself, has to rebuild, but who, for some reason, let the only fine month there was slip by without getting timber through, and now i 3 unable to do so. I also know that Mr Miller has done all in his power ■to meet the requirements of the public considering the inconvenience and expense he has been at, owing to the bad roads, and scarcity of timber. At present he has to " pack" everything from Castlepoint for this. I have, &c, A VISITOR AT TINUI HOTEL,
