A GRIEVANCE.
(To Ik Editor of the Wauutupa Daily.) Masterton, August 19. • Sin,—At the request of two or three residents on the Upper Plain Road and its vicinity, I write you for a little information, Myself and neighbors have for the last two or three weeks been excessively annoyed by the inhabitants of one of the houses on the above road, keeping a disorderly house. About 12 o'clock at night the fun begins and is kept up until daylight. I should think that if the Recording Angel took a note of every oath uttered there he would have a pretty busy
time of it. My only : object ;.in bringing this before your : notice is/with the hope that the nuisance maybeabated and orderly neighbors allowed to; sleep iii peace. I believe I am not the only, complainant, as I heard the matter had been reported to the police, but that they could not do anything. Can you inform me, sir, whether this is the case. Apologising for this trepass on your space,—l am, &cc. Quiet.
