. Sir ,—I thank you for inserting my •letter in your issue of the 17th inst., but there is an important error of a word, which I will feol obliged by your allowing me td correct. Thus at the 74th line the paragraph runs " Tho land, in the southern half of the Ward in many places where intersected by tho road, &c," whereas it should be: " The land intho'florf/icra half of the Ward in many places where intersected by the road, is very broken, necessitating many side cuttings to render dray traffic possible."—l am, &c,, Edwik Meredith.
