MASTERTON FIRE BRIGADE.
A meeting of the brigade was held or;. Wednesday evening, Mr Braggins in. the Chair. .
■: The Treasurer reported balance in hand to be £3518s sd, The following accounts were passed for paymentSellar and Hales, £3 7s 8; Quick, £ll4s Bd. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Girdlestone-Tluit Rulo No. 3be altered to read, that the officers consist of captain, lieutenant, and foreman. It was also resolved to alter Rule No. 7 to " officers and four men to form a committee, four to form a quorum,"
After minor alterations had been made in several rules, the nomination of officers was proceeded with,' The following nominations were made: Captain, James Muir; lieutenants,' T. Dixon and Gii'dlestone j foreman, Warner and E. Dixon; .treasurer, T, Jago; secretary, Wm. Easthope; branch men, Rudman, Jago, Smith and Langley.
The election for the above will take place at.the annual meeting in September.
Messrs Brown and Girdlestone were tppointed auditors,
