Your Committee have the honor to report that, although financially the Society stands not in quite as'gooda position as at the close of last year, the Society has to congratuVatp' itself uj)on the 1 improvement of all classes of ' exhibits,. more especially in fruits 'aiid -vegetables, thS Judges and ,%£res3 sp.caking in .high terms of both 'Shows.

Tho: Society nambcrs..forty-three subscribing members, and receipts for admission to" the. Shows' amounting to upwards of £2O, shows the public appreciate the Gxertiifts'of tlie Committee and members. l'lio prizes awarded amount to the handsome sunrof £45, and many exhibits were 1 highly commended deservedly. The show of pot plants fqr many reasons was a comparative failure as regards quantity, the,.quality however being an improvement on previous years, ' Your Committee .deeply regret to report tho ill health, of the President, Mr H. Bafinister, for a greater part of tho year, his active exertions for the success of the Society having been one of its chief features since its formation; and your Committee take this opportunity of thanking him for his past services, and trust he may be spared many years to continue his usefulness.

It having been suggested outside the Society that a reduction in tho annual subscription would increase the receipts, your Committee recommend the suggestion bo discussed at this meeting.
