THE PRESERVATION OF EGGS.
A new process for preserving eggs (says the .N. B. Agriculturist) for several months has been discovered byDrPhibaon.. On taking the eggs from the nest
they soould be covered over by means of a bit of wool, with butter- in which is two or three per cent, of salicylic acid. Bach egg,after receiving this coat, ahonld then be placed in a box filled with fine and absolutely dry sawdust, If care pe taken that the eggs do not touch each other and that they be perfectly covered with.the sawdust, they will keep fresh for several months—perhaps for more than a year. Dr Phipson states that he has experimented with this process for two years, with excellent results.
