CARTERTON.
(From our own Correspondent,) May 30th, 1879, The Georgia Minstrels opened hereto a very fair house last night,' and perform again this evening. They are undoubtedly the most talented troupe of its kind wo have ever had in the district, and those who believe in the old saying, " laugh and grow fat," would stand a very fair chance of having shortly to undergo a course of Bunting if they attended the performances of these celebrated Ethiopians for many successive evenings, Talk about llioutlis! Billy Taylor has a dental casket that may well be termed ail annualar one, for it appears to extend not only from ear to ear, but three-fourths round his cranium into the bargain, I hear they mean to give you a specimen of their skill, and I would advise one and all whose risible faculties have.not been put altogether out of gear by tlieso hard times to pay thorn a visit. The funny old woman, spite of her drawback, is 110 drawback but an incentive to mirth and laughter, and the banjo performance is, par excellence, grand.
