On Saturday next, the Queen's Birthday, the Wairakava Daily will not bo published. There are to be rural sports at Fcatherston on the Queen's Birthday. It is reported that the Kaitara School will again be re-opened, a successor having been found for its lite teacher, Mr Huntley. The adjourned Ploughing Match meeting at Tauherenikau was not suflicient-ly well attended on Monday last to enable the committee to get to work, It was further adjourned till this day week. An inquest on tho late fire in Bentley--street will be held this morning by the District Coroner. Tho inquiry will be merely formal, as no fresh facta in connection with the origin of the fire are expected to be elicited. <
