The promoters of the above Company laving leased the Town Hall, Masterton,for term of 21 years, have determined to effect certain alterations and additions by which the building can be transformed into a Theatre suitable to the requirements of the rapidly rising town, and it lias boon clearly ascertained that the building as altered will be adequate for the performance of Theatrical and Opeiatic Companies, wliieh m times past would have visited the district had there been suitable accommodation, It has further been proved, without doubt, that the income hitherto derived from the Town Ilall, even in its extremely miserable state, lias been more than ft paying one. Plans have been prepared by an experienced architect, and an estimate given, whereby the alterations as mentioned above can bo made for a sum of £ GOO.
