The promoters of the above Company having leased the Town Hall, Masterton, for atenn of 21 years, have determined to effect certain alterations and additions by which the building can be transformed into a Theatre suitable to the requirements of the rapidly rising town, and it has been clearly ascertained that the building as altered will he adequate for the performance of Theatrical and Operatic Companies, which m times past would have visited the district had there been suitable accommodation, It has further been proved, without doubt, that the income hitherto derived from the Town Hall, even in its extremely miserable state, has been more than a paying one.
