THE FEATHERSTON SALE YARDS.

To Ik Editor of Ik Wairarapa Dailt. Feathorston, March 29. Sir,—Your leading article of Saturday's issue deserves a reply, if it was only to thank you for the able article you wrote on the Feathorston Sale Yards. You comment on their threatened failure as a meat market for the Wairarapa. lam glad that you have spoken so plainly, as it will show the public the advantage of bringing their stock to an open market for salo. I have watched the interests of the yards from the first, and think still they will be a success, although I admit each sale day we have had less stock. The buyers increasing, from all parts, and the high prices horses and cattle fetched last Wednesday, have induced station owners and others to fill the yards with stock next sale day, as numerous entries are already made.—l am, &c,, W. McKeevbr.
