EXTRAORDINARY SHOOTING.
At New York, on January 9th, Captain Bogardus concluded his attempt to break 6000 glass balls out of C2OO, at Gilmore's Garden, He was also matched against Abe Kleinmann, of Chicago, giving him 200 broken balls out of 1000. The first night Bogardus broke 3000 balls without
a miss, and Kleinmann fired at 400 and missed six, The last night Bogardus broke 2GBO without a miss, but his shoulder got sore and his hand swollen and tired from the great exertion, He commenced to shoot badly, and at the end of 3000 shots had missed 13 balls. He broke GOOO balls in (1013 shots. Kleinmann then commenced shooting, and missed seven balls out of 400 shots. Tliis, with six balls missed the first night, just made a tie between himself and Bogardus. The feat of breaking SGBO without a miss was never before accomplished. The New York Sua states that Captain Bogardus and Dr. Carver have made arrangements for shooting a match, and aro to break 20,000 glass balls within the space of six days. The match is to be shot between September 1 and December 31 of this year, for not less than 10,000 dolhus a side. Bogardus is to use shot-guns, and Carver lias the choice of either shot-guns or rifle, but is to continue to use throughout the match the weapon lie begins with. The bulls are to be sprung from two Bogardus traps, fifteen yards rise, Both barrels of the shot-gun may be used, and both barrels may be sprung in the air, at the choice of the marksman. If Carver uses tlie shot-gun, he is to fire under the same conditions. If he makes choice of the rifle, the balls are to be thrown m the air either by hand or trap. Each marksman is to load his own gun as he shoots. The winner is to take the stakes and gate money,
