Sir—lt is with extreme reluctancel complain of the conduct of anyone, but where the interests of the public, or any part of it is at stake, I feel it my duty to call attention to the fact. The facts of the case are these, Some evily disposed persons are in the habit of proceeding to the range of the Rifle Volunteers, and besmearing the target mid butts with whiting and whatever they can lay their hands on, oven the flags belonging to the company do not escape, and it is both a source of annoyance and expense to the corps. I may say that tjie olhcers of the company are determined to prosecute any one found interfering with the property of the Corps, I am, &c., A. L. Webster.
