We have been requested to publish the classification of exhibits for the above exhibition which will bo held in October next, and which is open to settlers in New Zealand : Class I—Machinery of every description, also Models of same working or otherwise, and Models of Mines, Class 2—Castings and Fittings in Iron, Copper, Brass, Zinc, Tin, and all metal wares, Smith's work, itc. Class s—Models of Buildings, Building Materials and Decorations. Class G—Gilding, Embossing and Enamelling on Glass, Painting, Graining, and Sign writing. Class 7—F urnit ut rc, Inlaying-work, Rustic-work; Basket-work, and Household requisites, in wood, also Toys of wood, metal or other material. Class B—Glass, Glassware, Pottery and all articles of plastic-ware Bricks of all kinds. Class 9—Harness, Saddles and Bridles, Leather, Skins, Furs, &c. Class 10—Boots and Shoes of every description. Class 11—Ropes, Matting and Brushware. Class 12—Textile Fabrics, Spun and Raw Silk, &c. Class 13—Mon's Clothing and Hats, also materials for same; Shawls, Blankets and Woollens. Class 14—Ladies' and Children's Dresses, Millinery, Underclothing, Dressed Dolls, and every description of Plain and Fancy Needlework, Lace- \ work, Knitting, Netting, > Hosiery, Ac. Class 15—Ladies' Ornamental and Artificial work, in Wax, Feathers,

Class 17—Paintings in Oil and Water Colors; Pencil and Crayon Drawings, citherfrom nature or copies. Class 18—Modelling, Sculpture, Turning and Carving in Stone, Marble, Ivory, Bone, Wood, ' Metal or other material. Class 19—Architectural drawings, Plans, Mapping and Penmanship. Class 20—Printing, Lithographing, Engraving and Bookbinding. Class 21—Photography. Class 22—Jewellery, Clocks, Watches and Ornaments in the precious metals and minerals, Class 23—Philosophical and Mathematical Instruments, also Instruments of every description in metal, glass or other material, Class 2i—Musical Instruments. Class 25—Boats, Steam Sailing and Rowing (not to exceed 30 feet) models of same, and Life Saving Apparatus. Class 2G—Minevalogical and Geological collections, dyeing, Tanning, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Microscopical preparations, Perfumery, Oils, Ac. Class 27—Aquariums, both salt and fresh water, and Fish globes Wardian Cases. Pot Plants grown from cuttings and seeds by exhibitors, and Seeds of every description. Class 28—Jams, Jellies, Preserves, Marmalade, Dried Fruits, Bottled Fruits, Sauces and Pickles, Clas329 —Confectionery, Biscuits, Cakes, and articles of domestic cookery. Class 30—Hams, Bacon, Cheese and Butter. Class 31—Collections of Soap, Candles, Blacking, Spices, Soda Crystals, Powders, Mustard, &c. Class 32—Essays, Poems, and Compositions on any subject. Class 33—Musical Compositions. Class 34—Articles of any description not before enumerated.
