THE COMING SESSION. Referring to Rollcston's address to the electors, the Star says that the truest portions of Mr Rolleston's address are the closing sentences, in which lie anticipates a boisterous session, We believe tlio coming session will bo lively, but we 'base our conclusion on totally different pre ; mises from those laid down by Mrßolleston, viz., that the Government policy will be keenly criticised next session, not because wool or wheat is down, or that the colony is in a bad way, or through the expiration of election pledges, but because all Governments make mistakes, and this one has not been exempt from them. It is the cumulative opposition, provoked by such blunders that puts Ministries in adangerous position, but if Mr Rolleston sees, or thinks he sees, in the possibility of such catastrophe to the present Ministry restocation of the Canterbury-Cum-Atkinson rule ho is very grievously mistaken.
