HAIX'OMBE & SHERWELL have received instructions from tho Directors of tlie Emigrant and Colonists' Aid Corporation to soil by Public iuction, at Feilding, Ml WEDNESDAY, the 2Gth MARCH, 1879, .Fivo Ilmidred Sections, comprising over 10,000 acres, being Village. Town, Suburban, anil linral lands, in Sections rarying from a Quarter-acre to 500 Acres, thus offering opportunities for profitable investment to all Classes—to Tradesmen, to Laborers of every description, to farmers wishing to make homes in this prosperous settlement; and especially to Saw-millers and Bushmen desirous of reaping a golden harvest from the Wanganui 'limber Trade. The following are the several Properties which will ho ollered for sale 1,—9000 acres Rural Land, in 41 sections, varying from 50 to 500 acres. This magnificent tract of country is the pick of the Manchester Block. It lies all in the Valley of the Orowa, is very level, is very well watered by several permanent creeks and by the Orowa River; yot 110 part of it is flooded, nor lias it an acre of swamp. It lies within 2| miles of Feilding, and within 2 miles of the railway. It is connected by a good metalled road running right through ir, with the town of Fielding and the new town of " Jshlnirst" on tho Mauawatu Gorge. This is a sister town to Feilding and Halcombe. Thi town is the centre of the operations of th Corporation now, and must continue to b so for the next three or four years. V.—The Village ofStaiiway, The Villag comprises 21 small sections. It is situated at the junction of the Stan way and Makino roads, two of the mai metalled roads on the Manchester Block The whole of the country round this villag being occupied, an opportunity is offered b the subdivision and sale of this reserve fo the saw-mill or other laborers about to mak a convenient freehold for themselves, Th land i? clear of bush, and as the village c Stamvay ia at thc'junction of three metallei roads leading to Haleoinbc, .Foilding, an Marton, it is n favorable situation for a store a blacksmith's shop, a carpenter, and a fei other tradesmen. Plans of the several Blocks may bo ob taineil from C, P, Powlks, Hunter-stud Wellington; or, if applied for by post o telegraph, to Messrs Halcomde and Sheii will, Foilding, will be forwarded by lira post, free, to any part of the Colony. TERMS OF SALE. 1, Cash.—By which is meant a deposit o 10 pei cent, on fall of the hammer, tin balance payable at any time within twelvi months, and bearing interest meanwhile at' per cent.; but no interest will be charged i: the balance is paid within six months. 2. Dbfbmied Payment,—Most pf the rura land, excepting sonic' special timber blocks and spine of the larger suburban blocks, maj bp taken tip by the purchaser on deferrei' payments, in the form of lease, with right tc purohase, The terms will be 25 per cent, added to the price bid at auction, and payable on the 30th Juno, 1884, or at anj previous time, and meanwhile bearing a rental at the rate of 5 per cent, on iho purchase monoy, the vonlal being payable halfyearly in advance. For example :■ a block for which a cash prico of £1 per acre is bid at auction, the deferred payment price will be £5 per acre, payable on 30th June, 1884 ;
the rental 5s per acre, of which 2s fid must Vio paid at the fall of the hammer, All titles are under the Land Transfer Act, ami can be given -within a week after the payment of the purchase money. The auctioneers can confidentlyreeommend the above Lands, or any of tliem, as certain to ho profitable investments. The character of the Corporation colonising arrangements are now sufficiently well known to be a guarantee to purchasers that all the country in their neighborhood will be thoroughly opened by roads, and bom fide settlement promoted in every possible way.
