The first saddling Loll will ring at 11 a.m.; first race to start 11.30—sharp. llaces to bo run under the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules. General entries and nominations for Handicaps to bo made to the Secretary at the Kising Sun Hotel, Groytown, between the hours of 0 aud 8 p.m. on Saturday, February Ist, 1879, or by letter bearing postmark of that or earlier (late. Alt entries to bo accompanied with names and ages of horses, and colors of riders. No entry will bo accepted unless accompanied with amount of entrance money. Weights for all Handicaps will be declared on Saturday, Bth February, 1879, at!) p.m., at tho Hieing Sun Hotel, Groytown. Acceptances for the Hurdle Handicap and W. J. C. Handicap to be given to the Secretary on the course before 5 p.m. on the first day of the races, and for tho District Handicap a quarter of an hour after the W.J.C. Handicap is run. Tho Ladies Purse will be confined strictly to gentleman riders, aud in order to carry out this rule, owners of horses entered in this race will he required to furnish tho Secretary with tho names of their riders at least half-an-hour before the race, lor the approval of the Stewards.
