The first saddling bell will ring at 11 a.m,; first race to start 11.30—sharp,' Bum to be rim under the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, General entries and nominations for Handicaps to bo mndo to the Secretary at tho liising Sim Hotel, Greytown, between the hours of fl and 8 p.m. on Saturday, February Ist, 1579, or by letter bearing postmark of that or earlier date. ' All entries to be accompanied with names and ages of horses, and colors of riders. No entry will bo accepted unless accompanied with amount of entrance money. Weights for all Handicaps will bo declared on Saturday, Bth February, 1879, at 9 p.m., at the Rising Sun Hotel, Greytown. yJcceptances for tho Hurdle Handicap and W.J.C. Handicap to be given to tho Secretary on the course before 5 p.m. on the first day of the races, and for tho District Handicap a quarter of an hour after the W.J.C. Handicap is run. Tho Ladies Purse will bo confined strictly to gentleman riders, and in order to carry out this rule, owners of horses entered in this race will be required to furnish the Secretary with the names of their riders at least half, aii-hourbefore tho race, for the approval of the Stewards.
