GREYTOWN TRUSTEES.
A moating of tho Trustees of tho Greytown Trust Lands was held at the Town Hall, on Tuesday. There wero present Messrs Bailiie, (chairman), Kempton, jun,, llornblow, and Wood. Tho minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The following accounts wero passed for payment.' -Avery & Evans £'2s on account, balance to be paid on completion of contract, R. Wakclin 93; lisard & Beard £2 8s Bd. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Kempton seconded by Mr Wood that the future meetings of tho Trust be held quarterly on the first Monday in February, May, August, and November respectively, - Tho Secretary reported balance in Bank to be £-19 133 Bd. A letter was read from the Town Clerk, Greytown, in referenco to leasing from the Trustees tho front room once,a week, as the Borough office, and the supper room fortnightly, for meeting of Council, also the use of the Hall for public meetings when required, and asking them to name a price.
A letter was read from the Rev A. Halbwachs, asking for the use of the Town Hall once a month on Sundays, free of charge, untill such time as he could get a churoh built in Greytown, A notice was read from the Clerk of the Featherston Highway Board re the valuation of two town acres and 3 Belt Sections, Resolved on the motion of Mv Kempton seconded by Mr liomblow, that the charge for the rooms be £5 per annum and £1 for meeting in the Hall. Resolved on tho motion of Mr Wood seconded by Mr Hornblow, that the request of the Rev A. Halbwachs be acceded to for 12 months, he to niako his own arrangements an to cleaning, lighting, &c, This concluded the business of the meeting,
