Gow, dated at Durban, 16th ult. : —*• The Surrey landed her cargo at Durban in excellent condition. The poultry were very good and gave special satisfaction to the consignees. In connection with poultry it would facilitate business if New Zealand shippers would quote c i f prices per lb, ae Durban buyers prefer to operate on that baais. A small consignment of New Zealand cheese was landed at Durban by the Surrey in good sound condition. The New Zealand butter ex the Banffshire and Surrey was landed in excellent condition and ae stocks were low and had been so for some time it came to an exceedingly good market. The brands '• . vhicb were landed were principally Sfaieri, Peninsula, and Hinemoa. Shipments of New Zealand oats especially those from Canterbury are giving great satisfaction, and are of excellent quality and should secure for themselves a very good market.”
