Shooting.
WAIMATE BIFLES. The opening of the Morven range took place on Thursday last. The weather was perfect, and a good number of visitors were present on the range. The ladies provided refreshments. Great interest was taken in the ladies' match, which resulted in a win for Miss Brown. A match was also arranged for members of the corps. The conditions were—lo shots 300yds, for prizes (ten) presented by Lieut. Thomas, Messrs Cox and Hargreaves, and Morven residents. A social was held at night, when the trophies won during the day were presented. The following are life scores of the prize winners.—
