Marriott first assistant qt Timaru South, the last named havihg resigned at Wailtaoriinga. Mr P. C. Davie appointed temporary teacher at Mukikihi, in place of Mr Arnold, who could not return. The Secretary for Education wrote on the 10th inst. that a petition’ had been received from the settlers of Dog Kennel Road, Waikakabi, regarding the education of .their children. The petitioners have been advised to write again to yqpr Board. No reply has been received to the Department’s memorandum of the 81st October last
