o TIMARU GRAIN MARKETS. The market for wheat \s still firm all round. Lines of prime milling are very firm os on trucks at country stations having been paid for it. A fairly large line of prime was sold yesterday at the fiaure named at a s'ation some distance from Timaru, a southern miller being the buyer. There are v ei y few farmers who now hold prime wheat. Fowl wheat is up to 4s per bushel f.0.b., this quotation really being for second quality milling ; inferior fowl wheat is selling at from 3 3 3d to 3=» 9J, according to sample. Oats show no alteration in prices to thee given last week ; and quotahens a-e Repeated, namely, 2s 6d to fcs 7*d for bright samples, and 2s 2d to 2s id for cUmaged and discoloured parcels. Feed barley is quoted at 3s 3d f.0.b., and bright lots should be worth 3s Gd when fowl wheat is selling at is. Herald Guinness and LeCren, Ltd., report that at their Saturday Bale there was a large entry of pigs and poultry and all sold well at late rotes.
