The weather is still veiy changeable, hut through it ;ill the crops are looking remarkably wel'. If the weathn- would only take up there is every prospect of a go hi yield, and judging by the present ouilo-'k the coming year ought to he a <;ood one for the farmers. The small birds are very destructive on the turnip*, and S'ltne of the farmers have had to re sow.
The local school breaks up for the Christmas holidays on the 18th, when a picnic is to be held in the school grounds and prizes to the value oC £8 distributed to the school children. The school is to re-opened on January o.
