THE OAMABU MARKET REPORT. Attention has been in a large measure distracted from the ordinary course of business during the past week, and transactions in grain are very limited. There has, however, been a sharp advance in prices, in sympathy with that which has taken place elsewhere, but it is almost impossible to fix values with any degree of certainty, as no transactions are reported. The scarcity of mi’dmg wheat has caused an advance in prices, but for the moment millers are not operating. The demand for fowl wheat continues, and prices have advanced to the same extent as milling wheat, but the quotations ate nominal in the absence ot sates. A few lines of feed oats have changed bands at advanced prices. Flour has been raised in price to £l2 locally and for export. Potatoes have taken a sudden turn in consequence of the short supplies, and are now worth £5 to £5 10s on trucks, at sidings. More is reported to have been given for good samples.
