Somaliland.
London, October 31.
A number of Boer commandants and British officers at Johannesbmg have offered Viscount Milner ;heir services for the expedition against the Mad Mmlah, proposing that 500 picked Boors and 500 British should be sent. Great .enthusiasm is manifested. The necessity for carrying five 'days’ water supply between the oases is likely to prevent the acceptance of the Indian offers.
