THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE PATRIOTIC FUND.
TO THS EDITOR. Sib, —I notice by your report of the Patriotic Committee meeting that the sum of £25 was passed to the relatives of the late A. Whitnev. While thanking the Committee for their good intentions, I beg to inform you that 1 did not make any claim on the funds of the society, but on being interviewed by one of the members I expressed the opinion that I would like to see a donation given to the loca' troopers’ memorial, which it was agreed some time ago to ereot. Hoping that the fallen ones will not be forgotten, I am, etc.,
B. C. Whitnit,
