Forrester's breeding shows that he is decended from a very successful strain of roadsteis, and the reputation gained by Shales is already being upheld by Forrester, who is leaving first class stock. of Wales. Prince Victor was one ot the very beat horses that ever stood in New Zealand. G dam Oamaru Belle, by Young Banker (imp). The Banker is fresh in the memory of all breeders in this country, and therefore to comment on young Banker, his performances and stock, would be quite superfluous. G g dam Curly, by Sir Colin Campbell (imported from Victoria by Fleming and Hedley in 1874), was one of the best brood mares in the Southern Hemisphere ; 550 guineas wern offered for the two-year old colt David Nesbitt, and 100 guineas paid for one of her fillies in 1880.
