The Black Family.

The well-known Black Family of musicians, singers and dancers, will open in the Oddfellows' Hall on the 14th inst., and will no doubt be greeted, as they deserve, by a packed house. There is not a better known nor a more family of musicians in Ne»v Zealand than the Biack Family, and as instrumental soloists this clever family excel. The family consist of six members, who are everything po.-sible in the musical lins. Miss Nellie Vnugh-n Black, though only a mere girl, has already learnt what Philip isewbory knew fo well—how to irske the voice carry. Hers is also a very fine voice, and she sings without the least .sign of effort or affectation. By-and-hyo, when maturity brings hi r more roundness and weight, sbewnlle a very fine contralto singer—that, at any rate, is distinctly promis d in her debut, and already she can sing |most acceptably. Taken singly altogether the company is a very strong one. There is not a weak item or an uninteresting one in the concert. Popular prices will be charged.
