Star Cycling Club.

A road race, three times round Bathgate’s block, was held by the Star Cycling Clu > on Thursday afternoon, the following bring the result: Reynolds (SOsecs), time 3) min lOsecs, prize set of tyres ; 2 F. Sauer time Slrnin Ssecs, prize chair ; 3 J, Wall T. Park secured the set of Dunlop lyres for fastest time unpaced, doing the distance in 30min 30aees. Q, Sauer, 30min 55secs, won 10s for second best time unpaced. In the evening a committee meeting was held, Mr Mathias p-osiding, when 18 new members were elected. The adjourned meeting was then held, there being present : Messrs G. S, Mathias (chair), A. Berry, W. Meyer, T. Richard, K. Casbott, J. Carry, J. O’Connor, T, Perk, G. Sauer and S. Reynolds.

The election of officers resulted ns follows Patron, Mr J. F. Douglas ; president, Mr G. 8- Mathias ; vicepresidents. Messrs T. Richard, A. Harris, T. Twomey, J. Sinclair, J. H. Dean, W. J. Wills and J. Syrnon ; oaptaih, Mr Wr Lr-Scoot; sub-c iptaiu, Mr E. Gasbott; secretary, Mr S. Cl irke ; treasurer, Mr A. Berry ; committee, Messrs W. Meyer, F. Sauer, T. Wilce, K. W. Hutt, G. Sauer and J. W. Manchester. It was decided that the £1 14j surplus from the road race should be held over till next race. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr J. W. Manchester for his past services as secretary. The annual subscription was fixed at 3s 6 1 and accounts amounting to £‘i ISs were passed. The question of the o■.inning run was left to the committee, wli > are to meet on the third Wednesday in each month.
