Waimate Tennis Club.
The annual meeting of the above Club was held last evening, there being a good attendance of members. Mr W. M. Hamilton occupied the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows : —President, Mr G.S.Matthias; vice-president, Mr Geo. Pitcaithly ; hon. sec, Mr Purchase; hon. treasurer, Mr L. Glendlnning ; committee, Mrs Pitcaithly and Miss Manchester and Messrs Akhurst, Twomey and Hamilton ; selection and handicapping committee, Messrs Mathiae, Pitcaithly and Purchase. In order to liqui late the overdraft and put the Club on a sound financial basis, the subscription for the year wa3 fixed as follows :—Gents £1 Is, ladies7s 6d, and High School girls 2a 6d. Six now member? were elected.
It was decided to have the courts marked out at one- so as to allow members to take advantage of the fine weather.
A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
