A CORRECTION.

TO THE BDITOR. Sir, —In jour issue of the 29th inst. appeared a local stating that tne " Coronation Band" would hold a pfuCtics, etc., *ta. Would you kiudl % v correct this to &e " Waimate Brass Band," as, as far as I am aware, there ie only one brass band in Waimate. It is rumoured that the Waimate Brass Band is dead, and that before dying they made over all their property to the Coronation Committee. Such, however, is not the case. The Band is still alive, and living in hopes of taking a prominent p:\rt in the Coronation celebrations and any other public functions which may eventuate in the future. —I am, etc., Chas. Dash, Hon. Sec. W. 8.8.
