Messrs Guinness and LeCren, Limited, report having held their usual monthly horse sale at tStudholme Junction on Thursday, at which the entries comprised 58 broken and unbroken draughts and light horses. Considering that farmers were all busy getting crops sown, there was a very fair attendance of buyers, and a very successful sale resulted.. Young draughts, either broken or unbroken, were in strong demand and met a ready sale at increased prices. In fact, for good young working horses the demand was in excess of the supply, and the agents have clients who were unable to fill their requirements. Shie prices were as follows : Draughts : Gelding, 6 years, £4O ; mare, 8 years, £3l; mare, 4 years, £34: .10s; gelding, 6 years, £3810s; mare, 6 years, £24 10s ; mare, 8 VKars, £3O ; gelding, 7 years, £2O ; mare, 8 years, £4O 10s ; 1 unbroken colt, 2 years, £2l ; 1 unbroken filly, 2 years, £33 ; aged sorts realised from £24 10s to £l2 10s ; spring carters, £24 10s; hacks and harness horses, £2l ss, £2l, £25, £l4, £9 10s, £7 10s. The auctioneers were Mr E. R. Guinness and Mr A. H. Bourn. STUDHOLME JUNCTION SALE. Messrs Guinness and LeCren report that at this sale yesterday the entries comprised 4000 sheep (the bulk of which were hoggets and wethers and maiden ewes) and GO head of cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers and a good many sheep changed hands and nearly all the cattle were sold. Fat Cattle—Mr J. McGimpey had some very prime cows, which sold at LlO 12s. Dairy cows, L 3 17s Od to L 6 ss; Bteers, LI IDs to L 3 10s ; yearlings, LI 3s Od to LI 17s. Sheep—Fat ewes, 10s to lie 8d ; fat lambs, 10s 2d ; ewes in lamb, 9s lOd to 13s lid ; hoggets, 6s lOd to 8s od.
