One thousand foot-warmers have been ordered for the New Zealand railway oars, hut the work of fitting them is dependent on the work of fitting up the necessary heating furnaces. Every carriage in cold districts, both first and second-class, is to be supplied with these foot-warmers, wo.cit will be at the disposal of the passengers without charge.
