LIC NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in “ The Counties Act, 188(5,” “ The Water Supply Act, 1891 ” and “ The WaterSupply Act Amendment Act, 1898,” that under and by virtue of the said powers and provisions a resolution was adopted by the Waimate County Council on the 80ch day of April, 1902, to make by special order to take I effect from the date of the confirming \ of the said resolution a By-law to come into force on the 23rd day of June, 1902, the object or purport whereof is as follows, that is to say : —To repeal Section 4 of By-law No. 1 of Water County Council COUNTV OF WAIMATE.

Race By-laws of tho said County providing for payment in respect of lands within Water Supply District as therein set forth of annual rates or -charges for water supplied as follows : In the Lower Waihao Water Supply District an annual charge of lid in tho £ up "'ll the rateable value of all such lands as aforesaid. In tho Lower Parocra Water Supply District an annual charge of lid in the £ on the rateable value of all such lands as aforesaid. And to substitute a provision in lieu thereof for payment in respect of all such lands as aforesaid of an annual rate or charge for water supplied of six pence per acre upon all such lands as aforesaid within each Water Supply District/within the County of Waimate. /\nd also to repeal Section 6 of th/said By-law No 1 providing for jkiytceut of the rates or charges thereuiVer on the First day of Way in each y/w in manner there provided and to/sullstitute therefor a provision that /he ra|e or charge to be payable under the slid proposed Bylaw, shall bd pavabll in like manner and on tha/said Ist d|y of May in each year, but/vith a proviso that the first payment/therrof shall be made on the Ulh day/of July, 1902.
