SATURDAY’S SALE.
The foUowing Jl priceß ruled at Messrs Guinness and LeCren’s usual weekly sale by anc'ion on Saturday last Pius, —Only weaners were sold, and prices ruled from 10s to 11s 61.
Poultry. - Fowls, Is 2d to Is 6d ; ducks, Is 6d ; turkeys, at 5s 6d a pair. Potatoes sold from 5s to 6s 6d a bag. All sundries sold well, including vegetables, harness, etc. TIMARU PRODUCE MARKETS. The market has been very quiet during the week, very fsw deals having been made. Oats are firm at 2s 3d on trucks Timaru, sacks extra, but very few lines ate offering. Good new wheat is quoted at from 3s 9d to 3s lOd at country stations; old wheat, 4s (for which enquiries are made) ; fowl wheat, 3« 3d to 3s 6d, according to sample. Very little is doing, as farmers are not at all inclined to part st present rates. Potatoes are mentioned at £4 on trucks Timiru, sacks in, but so far a very poor product has been shown. ST. ANDREWS STOCK SALE. There was a yarding of about 4000 sheep at St. Andrews on Friday, and a good sale resulted. Fat and forward ewes sold from 7s lOd to 9s; young fut ewes, I4s 3d ; two-tooth ewes, 12«; old ewes, 2* 3d to 5s 6d ; good lambs, 10s ; medium lambs, 8s; cull lambs, 3s; turnip wethers, 12s Bd. There were a few head of cattle yarded, which sold at ruling prices.
