Messrs Guinness and LeCren, Limited, rc p o rt that at this sale yesterday there was an entry of 1500 sheep. A total clearance was effected, with the exception of one pair of backward conditioned wethers. DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. Wh> at—Practically ao transactions in best milling eorts have taken place during the week, millers not being disposed to purchase at the values recently established. The market is almost bare of this class. Medium quality milling and fowl feed are not, eliciting muoh lnqii'ry. Prime milling is quoted at 4s to 4a 4d, medium 3s 'B.l to 3* lid, who e fowl wheat 3s 3d to 3s 6d, damaged and broken 39 to 3s 3d, sack* extra. Oats.—The demand is still ahead ot the supply, especially for milling sorts of good colour. Prime milling brings 2j 6d to 2s Bdv good to best feed 2s sid to 2s 61(1, inferior to medium 2s 2d to 2s 5d ; sacks extra. , Barley.—Feed brings up to M, milling 2b 9d, malting 3s Od, prime lakes 3a 6d to 4<; sacks extra.
GERALDINE LIVE STOCK SALE
There was a large attendance at the Geraldine live stock sale on Wednesday, when there was a good healthy sale. About 12,000 sheep were yarded. I tie following were the prices :-U°f b ™ ewes (aged), 6s, 6s 3d, and 6s 8d; two tooth wethers and maiden ewes, 14s dd threequarter bred tour six, »n<l eight tooth ewes, 10s 61, 10s8d. 10* lid to lis 6d ; fat ewes, 9s 6d, 9s 9d, and 10s 7d ; three quarter bred lambs, fat and forward, 8s 7d, 8s od, 9s fid to 10s : store lambs 6s, 6s Id, and Os 3d. w »s a good entry of rams. bhropshnes brought lgn; four tooth tngh.h Leicesters, ligns to ljgns. There was also a large entry of cattle. Fat steer brought L 6 12a 6d, L 8 ss, to £8 12s bd , fat cows, L 6 to L 7 7s (3d ; steers and heifers, L 3 10s, L 3 18s, to L 4 3s.
