The Times says that the delegates’ communication was only a feeler, it would be wiser for the Boers to unconditionally surrender without haggling, trusting to British generosity. The Transvaal Legation at Brussels intimates that the conditions of peace include autonomy with a shadowy recognition of sovereignty, an amnesty, a huge grant for restoring equality of languages, and cession of the Rand to Britain.
