The depu-i tation took the visitors to the Waihao and the lands adjoining the gullies on the west and pointed out the damage that had been done, and the serious eonsequencesshould. another flood catch them again unprepared. The Engineer; promised to report to, the Public Works Department. A public meeting will be held at Morv'en on Thursday to consider tne matter further.
