At the close of the lecture Mr Pitcaithly made a few remarks on the nature of the c asses and the amount of good to be gained from them. The Rev. Mr Morrison moved a vote of thanks to Mr Pitcaithly, which was carried by acclamation.
A meeting of the committee was afterwards held, when it was decided to start the classes next week. Particulars will bo found in the timetable in onr advertising columns. Two appointments of teachers were made ; the dressmaking class will be taken by Miss Hare and the shorthand and typewriting class by Miss Hiidyard Short. A good number of pupils have enrolled, and the classes promise to be a great success.
