Accident at Willowbridge.
•On ' Wednesday .-last,. .Mil John Meehan, a well-known settler at Willowbridge, was unhitching the chains from a team he bad brought in, when one of the horses, a young ■•and restive animal,...bolted and in, some way caused,.the,chain to catch, .round Mr Meehans leg. It dragged him round the yard, and into the paudock towards the river,but very fortunately a ya.to seldom shut happened ; to bo'closed on This; occasion, and the horse came to a sudden standstill, when the chain dropped off and left Mr Meehan free/. He was almost insensible when Mrs Meehan procured assistance and had him removed to the house.’ He was found to be severely bruised, from bead To foot and has, since: been obliged , to. stop indoors, although • not now in bed; ; His escape from a fatal, ' accident'was indeed unirAcuibi'is. '
