Waimate County Council meets on last Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. G.V. Cochrane, clerk. Waimate Borough Council meets fourth Monday in month at 7.30 p.m. Waimate Hospital Trustees meet on same day as County Council, in Council Chambers at 4 p.m. G. V. Cochrane, secretary. Waimate High School Board of Governors meets third Tuesday in every second month in Courthouse at 7.30 p.m, Waimate Public Library committee meets first Monday in each month at 7.30 p.m. J.H. Dean, secretary. Waimate Loyal Orange Lodge meets third Thursday in every month at 8 p.m. John Hazleton, secretary, Waimate Volunteer Fire Brigade meets for business every first Tuesday, and practice every second Tuesday in he month.
