Hospital Board.

The monthly ' meetiug of the Waimate Hospital Hoard was held yesterday, Messrs Sinclair (chair), R.Nicol, W. J[. Hardie, D. Boss and C. Studhdlme being present. Dr. Barolay was also in attendance. The surgeon's report showed that six males and five females. were in the hospital at last meeting, eleven males and three females were, admitted during the month ; seven males and four females discharged, leaving ten males and four females still under'treatment.

The matron's report Showed that £6 9s 4d had been paid'during the month.

A "sub-committee wore authorised to get a now range for the hospital. A letter was read from the Health Department on tho question of establishing a sanatorium for consumptives that Dr. Mason was in Australia and would reply fully when he came back.

The committee appointed to consider the board's domestic staff recommended that a general-servant should be employed, and this wad agreed to. lb was resolved to put 'a ceiling in the morgue. The chairman said that Mr Kirkland was willing to attend gratis to any extractions of tooth of hospital'patients or give advice in teeth cases, aud the offer was accepted with thanks. Messrs Nicol and Hardie were appointed visitors for the month. Accounts amounting "to '£74 9s 6d were passed for payment. The clerk stated that £O4 had been paid'by a late patient during the month.
