A large proportion of the sheep entries were made up of store lambs, of which the supply .vas much in excess O' the demand. Tae wet weather and the scarcity of stubbie feed bad a depressing effect on the market, and sales Were difficult to effect at anything like late rates Sheep—Pat 2-tooths 13s 6d, fat ewes c 11s to 9s 6d, 2-’ooth crossbred ewes and wethers lls lOd, 11s 4d to 10s 6d, forward conditioned merino wethers 3j 3d, good rape lambs, a nice pen from Mr 1 J. Brownlee topped the market at 10s 8d and a good line from the Waihaorunga Estate went from 10s6d to 8s 81, other lambs sold at 8s lOd, 7s 7d, 7s 6d to 6s 6d. Cattle —Fat 3 year old heifers (light weights) £Oj fat cows £5 15s to £5, fat 3 year steers (light) £5 2s 6d, forward 4 yo<>r steer £6, 3 year steers £3 17» 6d, springing cows £5 IQs to £4 15s, cuves 5s 6d.
