'On Thursday a team of bowlers from Waimate went up to Timaru with the school excursion and played a team from tho Timaru Club. The home team proved far too good for the visitors, who were defeated by 55 points. The Waimate players ware well treated by the home team and after cheers had been exchanged the teams separated, promises being made to arrange a return match. The following are the scores, Timaru being named first: No. 1 rink : Soaley, Howley, Lane, Courtis (skip) 34, v. Menzies, Pitcaithly, Johnston, Soott (skip) 13. No. 2 rink : Gillies, Somerville, Vickerman, Rowley (skip) 18, v. Williams, Boyd, Nicoll, Smith (skip) 20. No. 3 rink : Wagstaff, Shepherd, Ferguson, Gow (skip) 11, v, F. Akhurst, Murdoch, Goldstoue, Coltman (skip) 23.
No. 4 rink : Simmers, Bruce, Philp, Gabites (skip) 22, v. Evans, Gleudinning, Clark, Hertslett (skip) 11. No. 5 rink i Turner, Mee, White, ■Fraser (skip) 30, v. C. Akburat, Hufct, Manchester, Mitchell (skip) 17. No. 6 rink : West, Young, Gillman, Davies (skip) 34 v; McLennan, Atwill, Wilson, Marriott/(skip) 10.
