Messrs Guinness and LeCren, Ltd., report that on Saturday last prices ruled as under:— Cattle.—Good milch cows, £6 10s and £7 ; calves, 2s 6d and Ba. Pigs.—Woaners, 5s to 8s ; stores, 10a to 16s 6d. A horse, trap and harness were put up and brought £ls, £8 17s 6d and £2 6s respectively. Poultry.—Youngpullets and roosters, Is to Is 4d; roosters, from Is Id. New potatoes In about 801 b bags brought 9d to Is ; f-bag of same 6s. The good will of a lease of 40 acres 2 roods 87 pouches, on account of Domain Board, dold for £5.

HORSE SALES.

The Canterbury Farmers’ Co operative Association, Limited (per Mr J. Mundeil, auctioneer), report on the horse and cattle market at Tattersall’a yards at Timaru on Saturday, as follows . —Out entry comprised 40 draught, light harness and hackney horses. Some really good draught and light harness horses came forward and good sorts of both classes sold well. Our quotations are as follows ; —Draughts, young with trials, £3O. £34 10s, £B6 to £4l; ditto, light and aged, £lO. £l2, £ls 10a, £2O, £22 10s, ißi6 to £2B; light harness horses, £l2, £l4, £l6 10s to £2O; hackneys, £5 ss, £6, £7 to £lO.
