I • land' sales. In Waimate on Saturday Messrs Guinne3B and LeCren, Ltd., sold Mr Jas. Pym's property to Mr Geo. Court at £l2 per aeve. They also sold on behalf of Mr E. Jones, lots 83 and 35, Waimate, to Messrs Nicol and Bcott and D. McPhersoh" at £BO and £3B respectively. TIMARU MARKETS. In anticipation of the new crop coming to hand shortly, buyers at Timaru are not keen to do business, and growers, are still holding out for a better price than that now offering. There > sevens little chance of their hopes being realise J, hpwever, for as harvest time approaches prices almost certain to recede, and, as a matter of fact, oats have gona back already from Jd to "ld_ per bushel, all descriptions being now worth 23 2d per bushel, od trucks, Tiroiru. This is, however, only a nominal quotation, for with only a small quantity offering, and buyers indifferent, there is very little bu-sinesa doing. A -few lines have changed bands during -the week, but these have been confined to feed oats. Farmers have now pretty .well exhausted their utocks. 'With regard to wheat, the beat quotation that can be given- for it is 2s lid, f*o\b» This has been obtained for"a few prime lines, during .the past •week, but .those,; who purchased were urgently in heed of it. barley. Chick wheat is in strong demand but there is none offering. Whole fowlwheat can be placed at 2a 8d per bushel, f.0.b., while broken is worth 2s 6d, f.o.b* OHFJ TCHQHOH GRAIN AND Very little wheat is offering locally, while at the same time there has been little or no enquiry, as all the millers seem to be fairly well stocked. A small quantity has changed hands at 2s lid f.o.b. The only enquiries for oats have been for small ooastwiss shipments. Prices are merely nominal. Produce of all descriptions remains unchanged since last quotations, and there is nothing to report with regard to the market. In agricultural seeds there is littlo or no trade at the present time. The following are currenb prices paid to farmers, f.0.b., Lyttelton, and free of commission, except where otherwise specified : Wheat—Hunter's pearl and velvet and Tuscan 2* 10J to 2a lid, f.o.b. (nominal)—2s 4d to 2s 4^d. Barley (nominal)—Malting 2j 3d to 2s 7d, try stations. Flour (millers' quotations)—Boiler £7. Pollard—£4 63 per ton. Bran—£3 10s. friy—£2 10a to £2 15s, delivered.
