The Rev. A, Fowler, fotmerly Curate of St. Augnstins's Church, Waimate, and now of Raogiora, is staying at Hunter just now. Mr Fowler was in town yes« terday, and will return to Rangiora on Monday. Mr John Hoare who wfti formerly a resident of Waimate, died at Greymouth on the 17th inst. Mr Hoare was * native of Oxfordshire near W&ney, and came to the colony 24 years ago. About 12 years ago deceased left Waimate for Greymouth where he lived till the time of hie death. Mr Hoar* was married twioe and leaves two daughter's and hi* second wife. Mr T. Hoare of Waimate is brother to deceased.
