ADDINGTON LIVESTOCK MARKET. [by telegraph.] Christchurch, December 3. There was a medium yarding of at«ok in the yards and a fair attendance. The entry of store sheep numbered 1610, made up principally of wethers aad ewes and lambs. There was a dull sale, and most of the lines were passed. The lollowiag were the prices realised Sheep.—2l2 ewes and lambs made 6s, all counted; 121 2-tooth wethers, lOi 5d ; and 58 two and 4-tooth wethers and ewes, 8s 9d. In the fat lamb pens 1610 were offered, and there was improved competition, two new export buyers b>nng in the market, and prices advanced fully la a head all round as compared with last weejr. For freezing 620 were taken at lls 3d to 14s 8d; 360 were bought by butchers at 10s 8d to 14s 9d; and 110 unfinished lambs were passed. There was a small mixed entry of fat sheep. Catt'e.—The supply of beef comprised 171 head, of which a number were prime cows and heifers. The sale opened very dull, pen after pen being passed, but matters then improved, prices, however, being Is per 1001 b lower than last week. Aline of eight North Island bullocks were passed at £9 to £9 ss, and a nice lot of 24 heifers from Hawkeswood were, sold at £6 6s to £8 10s; ordinary steers made £6 17s 6d to £9 ; heifers, £5 Iss to £7 15s; cows, £S 5s to £8; and several extra good to £9 17s 6d,. equal to 17a 6d to 25s per 1001 b. Figs. —There was a large but somewhat rough entry of pigs, and all classes wsre dull of sale, especially stores. Baooners made 80s to 50a, equal to 3&d per lb; porkers, 18s to 80s, equal to 3£d id 3|d per lb; stores, 8s to 16s, and suckers and weanere, 3a 8d to 7s.

THE AUCKLAND WOOL SALES. AUCKLAND, December 3. The Wool rales opened to*day, when 4306 bale* were offered, and a lair pro. portion told though the prices realised ruled low, in sympathy with southern sales. The top price touched was 6d, for 10 bales of haifbxed fleeoes, and the average fall all round compared with last year’s opening rates was about l£d, halfbreds declining from id to Jd, finer orossbrede from Id to lsa, medium and coarser, wools about 2d.
