The Plague.

Sydney, November 28.

Vigorous resumption of trapping and other forms of destruction has resulted in the discovery of a large number of plague stricken rats in the harbour fore&L ores and various parts of the city.

The health authorities consider the outbook very serious, The Mayor stated that it appears almost impossible to avert another outbreak of plague. Arrangements have been made to resume a systematic fumigation of sewers. The public are urged to assist in the destruction of rata.

Melbourne, November 28. Owing to the discovery of plague s' rioken rats in Sydney, trapping of the wharves has been resumed. Rats are reported to be dying in large numbers.
